Mizukishou

Hey guys! I have uploaded my Cosplay Meme for 2014. However, I'm still feeling very insecure and haven't planned any huge projects yet. That's why I also have a "maybe" option; it's just a collection of ideas after all. I would love to hear your opinion: What should I realize of them? Any other suggestions? Hey, guys! For a while, it was pretty quiet around me. Like I said before I don't want to write much here. To keep this journal alive, I just want to show you a shootings previews of my latest cosplay.

Huhu, Mi-chan here! Like I said before, I will only write one post every month. This is the "June version" - SPAM ATTACK! Okay, where to start talking? Huhm,... let's start with the biggest news: COSPLAY SALE IS COMING SOON! I'm currently busy to shoot all costumes over again to provide them for sale.

Huh, confused? Yes, it's done! I've found my personal nickname as an artist. I'm superhappy right now. Mizukishou,  (水結晶, Japanese) means "water crystal"  . . . I've searched this name for too damn long. Finally, I found something. Why did I end up so? Water is the purest element of the four known basic ones. The purest  form of liquid. It stands  for deep, but also for variable, or - expressed in a positive way - "open" emotions, for the acceptance of diversity and the will for the new. This element represents me in every single way. Above that I love the color blue. It also have a deep connection to "Lugia", my favorite legendary Pokemon besides Mew, which lives in the depths of the sea. Lugia has  influenced me in my childhood; I absolute adore the ocarina song. And I choose a combination with crystal because I like them so much. That's the whole idea.

Sorry for not writing you, but I was so busy and in stress. As I said in my last entry, I had to borrow a sewing machine. I barely had time. The convention moved faster than expected and I had almost lost all hope that I can still make it in time. The night before, I've spent sewing. After this torture I was physically broken and  slept the entire traveling by car. But I did it. Somehow. I'm so relieved. Yeah, I I would actually write a small summary but I'm a little bit lazy right now. Therefore, I will only mention the most important things.

─ Convention: Very cold. rainy. Saturday was the purest disappointment. We were absolutely demotivated. Bäh! For this reason, we haven't made any photos. Not even worth it, in my opinion. It's a little bit sad, because I sat a long time on the costume . . . but follows a nice shooting in May. So I have used the opportunity to met new people and I've knotted very pleasant new contacts. Talented people everywhere. I also met my lovely  Duo Ar-yana and polycrystal. Did I mention that I am a secret fan of their Macross Frontier Cosplay? (Did I also mention that they  have forced me to cosplay Alto, lol?)  To be honest, I have no idea about the story yet. I still have to watch it. Can you recommend the series?
Sunday . . . I didn't care anymore . . . Zetsuen no Tempest Cosplay . . . I regret nothing for for being half frozen. I will upload some pictures soon. Be patient! You can't imagine how fun it was to be Aika for whole day. It was so amusing to make a little war with my Mahiro. (Aika has always won.)  And I cuddle with my Yoshino all day! (Mahiro and Hakaze were not amused. ) I'm so sorry! I HAVE NO REGRETS HERE. Ah, and I also loved my funny moments with my mage buddy Hakaze-chan. Overall, this was one of the best Convention days in my life. ♥

Time for some eye candies. I know, you guys are interested in this stuff. So here we go:




The images are numbered from left to right, starting on top.
1. Mizukishou as Aika Fuwa (The pictures was taken on the Animuc.)
2. I used a white tank top as basic for the upper part due the  lack of time and covered it with transparent fabric. I fell in love with this one when I saw it in the fabric store. I decided to make her simple dress in a Vintage style by using a patterned fabric. I've made the ruffles on my own and have attached them to the upper part.
3. Stuck with pins. I hate this part, lol.
4. I sewed a simple, knee-length skirt with an already embroidered fabric. After that I I added crocheted lace; remnants of my Yuuki dress.
5. Ruffles fixed. (hand-sewn)
6. I made a smaller, ruffled train and also added some other laces. (lower chest area, for example)
7. Straw hat decorated with different jewelry bands. (The heart was removed later because it wasn't desired by friends.)
8. Ruffles from residues attached as final for the upper part.
9. Additional row braids sewn on the skirt.

So this is my interpretation for Aikas dress so far. I think, the vintage style fits her very well. She loves to quote Shakespeare and I was inspired to bring this detail  in her clothing style. Hope you like it.  When my wig arrived,  I immediately cut it because I was so excited.




I'm really satisfied with this costume right now. We have also decided to make even more versions of the series. So I can promise that at least three more costume will follow this version. Next one is planned for july.
